What to Prioritize When Buying
Refresh rate matters most for fast games. For shooters and racing games, 144Hz minimum makes a visible difference. For slower strategy and RPG games, even 60Hz is acceptable. Resolution matters for visual quality. At 27 inches, 1440p is noticeably sharper than 1080p and worth the premium if your GPU can handle it. Panel type determines color and response. IPS gives the best color accuracy and viewing angles. VA gives the deepest blacks. TN is fastest but looks worst. For most gamers, IPS hits the best overall balance.
